How to take care of your mattress

Most mattresses come with a warranty but they still need some TLC to ensure that your investment lasts.  Here are a few tips to help take care of and extend the lifespan of your mattress.

Rotate your bed

Rotate your bed at least once a month.  Thereafter, every 3-6 months allowing the comfort fillings to conform to your body.

Protect your investment

Protect your mattress with a good quality mattress protector.

Allow it to breathe

After unpacking your new mattress, allow if to breathe for a few hours before you cover it up with fresh sheets.

Spread the love

Avoid sitting on the same spot over a period of time can cause your bed to lose its structure.

Mattress label

Do not remove the mattress label in the unlikely event of a warranty claim.

When to replace your mattress

Even with the best care, your mattress will eventually get worn out and will need to be replaced.  Generally, mattresses should not be used for longer than 10 years at the most.

Use a light vacuum to clean your mattress.
